Peaceful Silence Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Peaceful Silence

Rating: 5.0

When I rise early, early in the morning
Before the alarm clock has given a warning.
I see that it is very dark and peacefully silent.
I have a special feeling, the opposite of violent.

There are no sirens wailing in the far distance.
No flashing cherry red lights giving assistance.
The television screen is a delightful color of black.
No disturbing news; this is one thing I love to lack.

I am free to hear comforting words in my head.
Thankful for a day with only joyful tears to shed.
There is a reverence that I feel from nothing.
The richest gift of all, the peace I am possessing.

You have painted a wonderful picture here. The beginning of a new day with peace of mind and optimism. Thanks

You capture beautifully that moment of a new day dawning or rather of that first creative morning - full of promises and hope.
