why do so many present
council members politicians
look in official meetings

like a room full of peacocks
out strutting their stuff
no thought to unity purpose

no thought given to solving needs
to being efficient cost effective
to researching issues serving people

who voted in candidates
put candidate ego in power
honesty is out of influence

talk talk talk about
a snakes and ladders game
rise fall of parties

politics is not street craps
politics is casino craps
dice are loaded any bets

when government corporations fail
public will foot bills tighten belts
poor people pay for rich greed mistakes
