Perfection In Poetry Poem by Sandra Feldman

Perfection In Poetry

In Poetry,
You've got it all,
Philosophy, Psychology, History
Imagery, Color,
Beauty of language,
Perfect symmetry
Of mind and soul,
Making it,
The most beloved of all
Living Arts,
The closest to our hearts
Since writing first saw
Its heavenly dawn.

A great description of poetry, Sandra. And no need to disagree - this is the type of poetry that YOU produce and enjoy reading, even though not everyone writes it... I love poetry because one can succinctly say what is on one's mind, and try o, say it in a skillful or beautiful way.

Thanks for your Poet's Notes, dear poet. I think, there is nothing in this poem that one would like to disagree. Poetry is indeed a 'perfect symmetry of mind and soul', 'a heavenly dawn'!
