Mirror shows people what they are
Or so others tell you
Seem to find that people look more attractive in a mirror than
On a page with words
Even a picture that tries to capture one's soul, one's charisma
Loses that special flair
That art requires to flourish

Not a mirror, just a reflection skewed
Personality brings nothing to the painting in the background
Just a few strokes misled by a dreamer's soul
Dreamer left a message on the painting
Red, cold, words burnt into their minds
Words removed security
That is required to live peacefully

Mirror shows a new being
Recreated from the ashes of the former
Phoenix protrudes from the underworld
Darkens the doorsteps of those eager of virtue
To a dark, empty world
Darkness emits from the heart of the animal
That desires to make society immoral
