Pick A Color Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Pick A Color

If you pick the color
I'll paint until your hearts content,
I'd be lying if I said I was an artist
To paint the perfect picture of intimacy,
Although it's not much
I appreciate you & everything you do.
If you pick a color
I'll paint until your hearts content.
To share in your laugh,
A moment vulnerable between you & I.
The blanket of your lips warm & open,
waiting for embrace.
Just as soon as I finish painting your
toenails.

Tell me about your day
In a way that belongs to us.
