There was a time
Not long ago
When I could conquer mountains
No obstacle
Could pose a threat
No hindrance were my hardships
Through struggle I
Grew greater than
The challenge set before me
Through will of mind
I overcame
To shape my facet destiny
Unstoppable
Impervious
Incapable to fail
Somehow I lost
The fire within
The mindset to prevail

Tattered, broken, stripped of value
Mere shell of who I can be
Desperate, drowning, not reparable
"Unworthy" my life's summary

Fine, fire cannot rage all the time. Job done, it quietens. Yet the spark remains, and I could see that spark in the poem.
