Now poetry has awoke to being
nothing more than a warm cloak
for a cold joke on a very bad day.
I lover the image of a warm cloak on a messy day with bad jokes. Poetry lifts us up no matter what. Excellent.

I realize hardly anybody reads any of my long complex poems and that I have trouble reading others and that amidst the craziness of life, people want to read simple poems that they can finish quickly, for the most part!
