Pointless Is The Journey Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Pointless Is The Journey

What part of anyone's life,
They had known to experience it lived.
Does someone else believe is in need,
For their assistance to tell them...
How they did it.
Where they did it.
When it was done to do.
To then argue about,
Who is contradicting the experience.
To have lived it!

Then to be baited into a heated debate.
By that 'someone else'.
Neither to have been there nor around.
But insist they know what took place.
With times and dates to create them.
And the one listening to this nonsense,
Told what was done they did to do,
Was not the way they experienced it to live.

"You know something?
I must admit I agree with you.
One of us,
Has not been 'there' at all.
With it to realize,
The need to further discuss...
To make the effort to endeavor,
A pointless journey.
To the Emerald City to visit Oz! "

-I knew that.
The moment you refused,
To accept what I know to have known.-
