Porcelain Doll Poem by Juan Olivarez

Porcelain Doll

Rating: 5.0

The full moon on your face
With its ghostly glow,
Enhances your natural beauty,
You look surreal, like a fairy princess
From a fairytale.
The fireflies behind your head
Like a crown of stars.

The pale white contours of your face
Each defined in wonderful symmetry and depth
your Irish eyes glowing with irredescent light
From the heavens reflects back my way.

And I see that young girl I first saw forty two years ago
And she sits under the light of a lovers moon
I have never in my life seen a woman as beautiful
As you, my Porcelain Doll.
