Poverty Is Like Slow Poison

It's killing me bit by bit
It enhances my frustration
I'm lonely because of it
Girls want wealth not adoration
Boys are as cheap as sweetmeat
But I can't change my condition
Oh I feel like I'm unfit
Like a house with no foundation
Like a guy of the street

Really brotherly poverty is like the slow but most deadly poison.

Poverty is not merely being deficient in material wealth, but much more than that! A person who is poor in the eyes of the world may be enormously rich in many other ways! Let the girls who go after wealth realize it! A moving poem!

Excellent poem, in just a few lines you have created such a big picture and has made me ponder, it ain't easy out there for men either but the truth is women with their two feet on the ground are looking for a nice decent man and not just interested in his bank balance.
