I do enjoy being heard
Listening to my spoken word
If one terrible day, a choice
My Life or my voice
Such a blessing it is to write
Communicating what I might
If I were to lose my ears
I'm not shedding any tears
I haven't heard your voice in years
The songs that I could write
Should give me musical delight
If I were to go blind
Blind should not be how I'm defined
Braille would get me through my day
So I could say what I may
If I were to lose my arms
I would gather all my charms
That's just the way it goes
I'll have to type with my nose
Or maybe even with my toes
To continue writing prose
If I were to lose my brain
And altogether go insane
Without the ability to think or pray
Nothing more to say
Take me Lord Jesus, I obey
An inspirational fragrance embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. Beautiful piece of poetry written with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing Larry.
