Purest Love Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Purest Love

Rating: 5.0

You stood beside me when I was
A poor and lonely soul,
Without an aim or purpose
And my life without a goal,
But then you filled my heart with joy
That touched the stars above,
I know the gift you gave to me
Was one of purest love.

When I was lost nowhere to go
And in my deepest need,
When everything I'd tried and failed
Not once did I succeed,
But as I held your gentle hand
Light shone through clouds above,
I know the gift you gave to me
Was one of purest love.

And now I have found peace at last
The seas are still and calm,
Your spirit lives within me now
And I shan't come to harm,
For you shall always be my friend
I gaze at skies above,
And know the gift you gave to me
Was one of purest love.

Very touching poem...I have read a couple of your poems they are endless and full with imagination, beauty, and creativity. Nicely done.

Pure delight, lovely words you weave. So moving and sentimental. Again a great read. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
