Quest Poem by Dr Kamran Haider Bukhari

Quest

Rating: 3.5

God’s hands
And
My soles
I’ve been walking
This divine path
Since ages

I try to make things better
But it always turns to be worse
I try to win Your heart my God
But it always goes in vain

You made me wise and compassionate
Blessed me with the pain unknown
Showered Your tears on me when I cried
Smiled with me when joy was at my door

I am very poor and meek
I err, err and always err
I fall in the dark burrows of lust
I run after the worldly desires

Today
I came at Your door again
I thought now my quest would end
And I would kiss Your feet untouched
When I reached there
I found no one
Except a sign board
“You are late”

Dear Kamran, your write reminded me of this poem i wrote.... GOD AND I 'I walked, and he strew Thorns in my path I prayed to him To subside his wrath I lied he then Had me caught By being true No good was brought Life I assumed Was a sweet Dream “A nightmare” he fumed And made me scream Exhausted, I ran away To a lonely place He changed the play Pushed me back in race He and I, one on one Can’t stay can’t run “God” what’s your plan Let me live or get me done. ' ....a poem i wrote on a day of distress, when gripped by misery and shut down by fate, that is when we find time to discover ourselves and god, and during these times of contemplation that these poems emerge, about god and his role in our lives.....but this is not a conclusion about god, but just a dialogue with him. I can see what u r trying to say...good write Kamran! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! 1

but i don't think there will ever be a sign board 'you are late' for we knock only when he beckons....and whatever we may say or do, it's all at his beckoning...
