A time for learning
For knowledge yearning
The Maker's creation
Month of celebration
Jibril's recitations
Reshaping the Arab nation
Idolatry coming to an end
On Allah's word, time to depend
The Quran, Allah's gift
Through it's pages I sit and sift
Every sura and ayat I read
Gratefully searching for the knowledge I need
Throughout the day I fast
Ramadan, only briefly does it last
Counting down, time wearing thin
Next year, soon to return again
