Rare Things - Poem by Rachel Flint

rare is the man
who opens a door
for a woman
so of course
every girl wants him

rare is the leader
who opts for peace
instead of war
it is his name
that is spoken in reverence

rarely heard is the
nightingale's song
yet it is considered
the most beautiful
in the sky

it is the rare thngs
that are best remembered

The rhythm flows very nicely. Noteworthy thoughts. My wife and I both note every day how little courtesy is accorded others in the public places: grocery stores, on the roads, etc. So we take note and are apprecaative when anyone takes extra care to look out for others. Your message is very timely. (Report)Reply
