Ravine Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Ravine

Your words cascaded into my chest,
Flowing like water freefalling from the highest cliff.
Covering all it saw as it plunged deeper.
Leaving behind the ripple of your thought.
I drowned at that very moment.
Unable to speak,
As every word splashed deeper into a ravine of emotion.
Freefalling without anything to grab a hold of.
Transpiring into every thought that sat,
Awaiting in the cascading beads
