Reality To Fantasize Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Reality To Fantasize

Today so many object to being objectified.
As if a novelty or commodity.
To obsess.
Yet with ease to ,
With computerized enhancements.
Are parts of their bodies.
As if to be objects.
Yet,
Seeking to find soul mates in chatrooms.
But leave them disappointed and depressed.
Since few they meet take serious,
Pictures depicting...
Lips enhanced.
Tattooed chests.
Dancing butts.
And cussing raps.
Discussing who will give up what.
With promises made to do 'stuff'.
Before an exchanging of something real.
That can not be compared to a cartoon.
Or an object to play on a video game.
Today?
How can anyone claim,
They wish to want something real they can feel.
But where can this reality to fantasize be?
