Drums beating in rhythms, taunting this heart to beat
in time with them, understanding feelings that are
being played as they gyrate within this innate force.

One of intense coded rhythms taking this poet into
passages of yesterday, wondering where time was finally
spent.

Going for broke, leaving emotions frayed, destroyed,
music now rebuilding them one by one, saying the future
will be brighter and better with fortitude of will that's
rebelling against the darkness left behind.
