Record Head Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Record Head

You lay your round head
Next to mine, then It begins.
The wanting and missing you
Although you're lying right
Next to me.
You do this all the time &
I can't explain the why or
The how.
Although it's physical, you touch
Me in other ways,
both hot and warm.
You lay your round head
Next to mine,
I can listen to you all night.
You excite my personality
Easily picking up where we left off.
My heart goes round
Listening to the cracks in your head.
I can listen to you all night.
Even the nights you don't make
A sound.
You lay your round head
Next to mine & then It begins all over
Again.
When I close my eyes & go to sleep
It's your pretty face I see
Headlining the performance
Of my dreams
Or at least my tongue replacing
The needle on the groove
That spins around your face.
A song I can't get out of my head
