Recovery From Illness - Poem by Abdulrazak Aralimatti

Oh! What a great ecstasy and joy,
After a long misery and cry.
My soul was long attacked,
As it sobriety lacked.
Sunk deeply in its sickness,
Soaked in its weakness.
Strove to free from disease,
But showed a slow decrease.
Reading poems, provided the medicine,
And the strength to win.

Healing power of words is unimaginable, and still unappriciated in full extent. Words and poems convey messages that sometimes resolve your hidden or overt dillemas and pains. They are behind the faith and enlightenement, they are columns of your integrity and your health. Nicely penned Abdulrazak! (Report)Reply

A real poem comes from the in depth feeling and experience of life and surroundings, people, and actually it comes from the mind. A great feeling indeed. (Report)Reply

Words from another's poems can and does inspire people all over the world. Sometimes in our darkness, we find a light through another's experience. When writing poetry we may never know the difference we have made in a person's life. Poetry is an eternal flame of inspiration lighting the way for many who need enlightenment at times in their darkness. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem, RoseAnn (Report)Reply
