My Child Poem by Abdulrazak Aralimatti

My Child

Rating: 5.0

Zakiya, my dear daughter,
Pleases me with loud laughter.
She ascended from high heaven,
On February seven.
She is my beloved baby,
Precious as red ruby.
She is my first child,
Innocent, holy and mild.
Seeing her refines my soul,
To fulfill a father's role.

Lucky your daughter for having such a father! Only one thing, the third line sounds curious! Ascend from heaven?
