Reflection On The Coldplay Song Viva La Vida

For Chris Martin and his bandmates, for a most beautiful song, loaded with incredible imagery,
truly angelic accompaniment, a wonder, poetry incarnate…a breaking down of invisible walls and to the poet William Blake...

A rushing wind in the music
Angels have gotten into the tapestry
The weave of the song
And we drift on
Mere clouds in the sky
Tangential to blues
Of a different hue
Transfiguring song
Breakers of coloured wonder
Upon the far shores
Angels have gotten into the painting
Let the bells peal and chime
Despite chimerical appearances
Uniting Heaven and earth
Let inspiration rain down
Its golden spears
Jerusalem be saved.
