Rekindling The Flame Poem by Billy Loving

Rekindling The Flame

Warm pleasing glow of the fire
Tale of two hearts passionate desire
Sitting in the night
Conversing with delight

Faces glowing with love
Staring intently at the stars above
Embers dancing in the air
As they sit there without a care

Smiling eyes filled with glee
From the world's troubles, momentarily free
Sweet words said to one another
Nervousness they cover

Fire slowly fading away
In this moment, they wish they could stay
Darkness overtaking, waiting for sleep
A moment in time, forever their hearts will keep

Beautifully penned Billy. When we are in the company of our loved one we want it to last forever. Your poem portrays this delightfully :)
