Remorseful Feel Poem by Dr. Lourdes Vijayan R

Remorseful Feel

Alert received in mobile, attention drawn
The colourful light displayed "Samuel"
Mind expedited around and looked for cause of call
Puzzled mind minded the phone,
The capital finger stepped forth with filled unordered notion
Mournful voice from other side with feeble tone
Said "No Results Found" for my Reg. No.
The bewilderment enfolded but anticipated subject opened
Slightly changed tone with small raise
Enlightened tone with revealed result of mine
"Report Received" Status displayed the university website
Bit delightful feel occurred and slight smile appeared

Advent of evening to be welcomed
Betrothal of brother in law waited
Dispute separated my best half a week before
Endless fight, unbearable words, ugly scoldings,
Hard slappings and what not pessimistically,
Invitation received but denied phrase established
Heart waited but mouth declined to move
Self respect stopped me move forth
Call anticipated but deceit alone approved
Kept phone kept silently with no ringing
Longing eyes lamented, no call registered
Tears roll down, nose blocked and weep continued
Original heart of other side felt and the level of love realized
Phone disappointed my longing eyes, stoned heart remaining

Isolation feel felt, supporting mother left
Full of rage, disappointed feel and what not
Corrupted mind appreciated to commit suicide
What to be held back, self respect or blind love
Thrown love is mine but I love her still
With heavy heart, unopened mouth, confused mind,
Sleepless night, decision confirmed ‘bye Michael'
Best half played the best role in my life
Reayan, gift of god, left with you as a gift of mine
My son, always throws smile at others
Lifeless body remaining and walking everywhere
Pierced heart pronounce, ‘no place for no one'
Miss you dear love, value me, value my love.
Love my absence, lead a peaceful life, Saying 'Bye to Michael'
