Rest 2 - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Come rest with me dear in this early evening,
recharge our batteries so we will have energy
for the night to communicate in full and do
fun things as we want and are needed.
Come and rest with me my sweet darling.
Please come and hold me and give me some peace,
whenever I close my eyes to sleep those things
that bothered me enter my mind and still scare me.
In your arms and your strength provided I can
get the rest that I need and I can write more
beautiful things to show you my loving care
and deep sincere thanks.
Let us rest dear holding each other tight and near.
Let us rest now for a while and just enjoy
the love that we share with each other,
being with you is all that I want
and it's something I deeply need in my soul,
I love you fair lady more than can be told.
Please come rest and let me tell you how deeply
you're loved and missed.
