Revenge Of A Swimsuit Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Revenge Of A Swimsuit

Here is how revealing suits can wreak
Upon a curvy swimmer a trick!
The suit, said referee,
Was so high I could see
That, ‘one butt-cheek touched ‘nother butt-cheek! '

In Alaska, USA, a 17 year-old swimmer was disqualified by a head referee claiming that the girl's swim suit was so skimpy…The sponsoring school found the decision heavy-handed as the swim suit was an approved one and other girls wore the same type. It just ‘happened to fit the shape of her body with rounder curvier features'.

A brilliant Limerick filled with humor is astutely delineated. Interesting to read. Thanks for sharing.

HEY! ! PH apparently chose to delete the word b-u-t-t out of my cutsie poem in my first comment. they do THAT sometimes. but there IS a way to avoid it. I've got a novel -solution, to stop alleged view-pollution. Button her buttocks so, so tight that curvy B-U-T-T is out of sight! bri :)

I notice that you have meticulously avoided saying if you liked the ditty or not, of course with its serious goof up.

i saw news on Yahoo. Girl's win was returned i think. 'Ref' was said to be discriminating (in a 'bad' way) with disqualification. I've got a novel -solution, to stop alleged view-pollution. Button her buttocks so, so tight that curvy is out of our sight! bri ;)

Yes, you are right. But I think I'll have to be careful in future. You're not among one to give a goody-goody feedback. I wish people (here on PH) try and follow you. The quality of the poems would improve.

1 - 'something is rotten in Denmark' ** ** from Hamlet i thought " reek" should be " reak" . no. there IS a word reek, but it means " stink, etc." . " Reak" is not? a word; Google suggested " wreak" , meaning to " cause" , esp. harm. " wreck" , pronounced differently, means something else, but related. i also Googled " wreak havic" and found i misspelled as " havoc" .

Mea culpa, sure the word should be wreak, of course. But this is what happens when you hurry to catch the deadline, this being a limerick on current happenings. You see one of my earliest job was a research journalist where we were trained to develop an eye for topicality. But no white washing here, a sure goof up.
