Revisiting House of Blues

In a different world I am
In the friendly world of Uncle Sam
Walt would be proud of Disney Springs
And the happiness that it brings

First stepping into House of Blues
Can hear Elwood and Jake now
Music and movie are somehow
Mindfully following their cues

Brought a Canadian present
For this American legend
My framed poem sits well on bar
Snuggled with others it's on par

Chewing on HOB SMASH BURGER
Sampling Kona Big Wave beer
Conversing with the bartender
Photographing with great cheer

There is such power when the present blurs with the past. Are we having an experience for the first time, or is nostalgia overwhelming us? I think you've touched on a theme art will have to deal with in the years ahead. Brilliant, Richard!

It was my first time there, but the nostalgia from the movie and music made it feel like I was there before. To complicate matters, if one believes in reincarnation, how many times have we been there in previous incarnations?
