Rewarding Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rewarding

No wishes do I have,
To sit and dwell upon times gone.
Each breath I am blessed to take...
I make the best of it.
Remembering heartbreaks,
But not with them do I solicit,
Lingering memories that persist.
Too much right now,
At this moment...
I am completely in the midst of it!
Nothing do I wish to change.
I have made up my mind...
To find in the time now lived,
Rewarding.
