Robot Poem by Black Rose

Rating: 5.0

I am a robot of your invention

I am a your own little contraption

You tell me what I want

You tell me what I need

But in the end is it right for me?

I don’t know right from wrong

I don’t know wrong from right

All because you control my life

Do you really know me?

Or do you pretend to care?

All my hope is now just despair

I am a caged bird with no space

A disgrace to our human race

Should I just give up and stop going on

Will anyone miss me when I’m gone?

Stop controlling me I am human too

All I want is to be more like me and a lot less like you

One day I’ll break free from these chains

One day I’ll prove I’m not insane

One day I’ll stand on my own two feet

One day I will laugh at your defeat

One day when the tables turn

You’ll see all your effort burn

So tomorrow morning when it's dawn

Don't look for me, I'll be gone

this is a strong poem, but i'm hoping your last line is a sign of hope (and not despair) that you will find a way to free yourself and become human again....for you still are inside
