Sad Eyes Poem by Jim Yerman

Sad Eyes

Rating: 5.0

He saw sadness in her eyes…this saddened him as well…
and he wondered if there was a way…her sadness he could quell.

But her sorrowfulness ran deep…as sorrow often will.
He could not find the words to help…he did not have the skill.

So he sat with her…he took her hand…he silently let her grieve
calmly waiting for the moment…her agony would leave.

And there he remained…by her side…as patient as can be
Knowing her sad eyes still had many happy moments…she has yet to see.
