Sandcastles Poem by Lucy Burrow

Sandcastles

Rating: 3.5

I made a castle in the sand
It looked like you
The sun dried it
And it crumbled
To nothing
I re-built the castle in the sand
And protected it from the sun
But the rain came
And washed it
All away.
I'd like to build the castle again,
But there's no sand.

True. Life is like that. It is a lesson to everyone. One should not build air castles or sand castles.

Perhaps it would last better with a bit of cement added. Sincerely Ernestine
