Santa Came Through Poem by Ima Ryma

Santa Came Through

Rating: 5.0

A Christmas I'll never forget
Came the year I was three years old.
Summer, we'd lost the fam'ly pet.
Mike died, a Labrador so gold.
Mommy and Daddy were both sad.
They'd had Mike long before I came.
Of course I knew they both were glad
When my first word said was Mike's name.
When asked for Christmas what I'd like,
I said maybe Santa Claus could
Bring us a reminder of Mike,
Such a present would be so good.

The best present ever could be,
A puppy for my family.
