Sara Teasdale # 15

Why should I care about rain and or snow,
About leaves that are green?
Or all the trees that you climbed that are seen,
Summer was ours by the sea.
But care I confess that I do.
Taken from me as a leaf caught up in the wind,
Trapped in a wave, a wave none could see.
There we once we're and now we're both here,
Silent and still, lost without love and no peace.
