Save The World! - Poem by Shidush Contractor
We may come from Heaven; we may come from Hell,
We may come from any place we tell.
But no difference of colour, no difference of wealth,
May help to make Mother Earth feel well.
No chemical, no pesticide,
Would help plants grow tall and wide.
But their health has started to hide,
And thus they cannot stop the big sea tide.
Deforestation won’t provide luxury,
Instead we ourselves need to worry.
That if our Earth does not stay healthy,
We should hurry for its recovery.
For if it is too late,
And Earth reaches its expiry date,
With pollution at such a high rate,
We may need to meet our fate.
The Earth for us is like a dream,
We are like the demons destroying the cream,
But it’s never too late; we should work like a team,
Then the Earth would improve, to me it seems.
So men and women, boy and girls,
If you ever encounter a destructive swirl,
Do let your minds make whirl,
And from then pledge to SAVE THE WORLD!
