Scared To Death Poem by Concetta Salter

Scared To Death

So here now comes the ending,
to such a sorry tale.
I know I can't be mended.
I've lost the care to feel.

So sorry I am leaving.
I wonder if you care.
In my heart i'm bleeding.
In my mind i'm scared.

Lost within my heartache,
there seems to be no out.
How much more to take,
before I scream and shout?

I hope there is a heaven.
A god who understands.
I hope he gives his blessing.
I hope he grabs my hand.

Suicide is sinful.
That's what the churches say.
But life could be so dismal.
There's just no other way.

I'm scared that i'll start hating,
all those I once loved.
My heart is slowly fading.
To end this is a must.

There's no more time worht living.
And now i'll take the plunge.
There's no more hope in wishing.
Goodbye to those I loved.
