Searching For? >>> Poem by Manonton Dalan

Searching For? >>>

drifting boat off to shore
must be adrift for a while
I could imagine tragic that
happened to them; failure
what could be their aspiration
taking chances to cross ocean
was that really harsh life
drove them searching freedom

they are free from everything
that we own; work to holidays
love ones they left behind
future they should be enjoying
ends in sadness; death of flesh
what could be their last breath
passing to wakeless to slow decay
we will never know; only them
