Shame On Us!
Where does it come from?
This awful, trait
That makes us
Evil
And full of hate!
We are, supposedly
Rational beings
But we kill
Our own species!
Terrible murder!
Can Evil,
Go any further?
How can we feel
Love?
And yet, Kill, too?
Much more than
Shameful
What we do!
And there is,
No explanation
And absolutely
No excuse
For not respecting
Others' rights, to live,
Not even do we ever,
Declare a truce!
Will the killing ever
Stop!
And murder disappear?
Let's be truly civilized
And ban war and tragedy
From our living atmosphere.
A powerful and very desperate cry on the evilness of humanity. I like the opening lines. They moved one's mind to ponder about the flaws of the human race.

The third stanza are very incisive lines that cut through the core of heart. Yes, how can we feel love and yet kill, too. Best powerful words that can strike right in the head of a murderer.
