Count how many lives fall by the way side
Trying helplessly to break free but held under her spell
Her youth, her charm, her beauty, boy … she got you hooked!
But you can say no and be stronger

How many times have you tried to feed into that urge?
Its consummate powers drawing you ever so close to self destruction
Relief is by the seconds and every second make you one moment away to freedom
Your addiction is to success not failure

Today you look upon this day and wonder where the strength came from
Between you and me, you know you not totally free
That demon lives inside of you; every one of us has one
Just don’t give it what it takes to wake it up it’s the best cure there is

At first everything seems all too impossible
Like trying to decipher a voice in a crowded room
But surely the dust will settle
And the real hero will emerge

You shall return home to your family
Look them in the face and know they are worth the struggle
And worth your love
Because they means the whole world to you
