Silent Leaves Poem by Manonton Dalan

Silent Leaves

Rating: 3.5

when dusk embraces the radiant sun
i see flashes of green far beyond
then deafening silence covers land
broken by crickets up the palms

clouds soon clearing the sky
vast canvas where minds will fly
cool brilliant light from above
carving silhouettes in the dark

reaching the unknown to be one
punctuated knowing seems to plunge
welcoming breeze ebbs and bounds
in the darkness slowly drowns

A very descriptive poem, it brings out a clear picture of what's actually happening, indeed a lovely poem.

Very nicely written and a good use of metaphors.: -)
