Sing My Final Song Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Sing My Final Song

Rating: 4.9

I have always loved to go out
In the evening to the wide valley
To see the children play and shout

I sit on a stone to watch them
Chasing one another and falling
Into a heap as if it is part of a game

They rise and run again to fall
Again and that is how they enjoy
The evening without making a brawl

When the shadows fall long on
Green grasses and it becomes dark
They gather into a group and are gone

Dancing and singing on way
To their homes to get a wash and
Pray and study as routine of the day

I sit there alone a little long
Think about carefree childhood days
And the time I will sing my final song
