A fantastic poem, like it. We see things more clear as we age.
Felt so much small after reading this .... you have amazing talent
I do beleive you have a very special gift. Great art and much appreciated
Am so sorry I could not understand what you meant by the six-gun poets Could you please lighten my ignorace? . I really loved the message of this poem: when men see beyond violence to something more. when women bear children both fed and loved. when there are no strangers, no enemies... when god is as real as human need Oh dear friend when is now, here on Earth, we have them all (not sure about god) we only need to be aware that we are no superior to each other but neither to any species of this world. When we all would learn to love and respect life itself, the artists will have nothing to rebell against. Fot the wonderful poem shared, thank you!
a thought provoking poem! Eric.. so much of truth!
Your poetry has always been great, with a depth seldom matched; but with this one -in my small opinion- you've gone deeper than the soul of the Grand Canyon. The rough trails, and broken horses, and wanton whispers and desperate desires of life come capriciously upon us at a cost few could correctly consider... ah, but you my amigo, have looked over the edge, seen, and here shared the vision with us, in an amazing way of words that some may not understand, but that are still none the less brilliant. I love this poem, for what it speaks to my spirit. Thank you. Ten-plus. One only wishes Duane Allman were still around to properly make a song of it!
