The house is quiet
The rest are sleeping
Yet she is still wondering
Her mind travelling
Until she reached her destination
Then she began writing.
If that poem said 'he' instead of she that would have been me... a poem with hidden philosophy... like it ;)
lol, all i can guess is, finally she will also sleep after this short poem, haha, lovely...short but cute,
Short and sweet.....oh, yeah, so typical of poets, I suspect... On the other hand, I just read a couple of Wordsworth's sonnets to sleep because he was several nights bereft of it...so fitting with your title, yet yours is sweeter for it is no complaint, but perfectly captures the moment...alone and so far away, eyes sparkling, in the dead of night so busy, so quiet.... I like it.
So few words but, so much said. I think anyone who has written I been through this. I think it makes us what we are. Great write and thank you so much for sharing. Keep writing I enjoy what you write.
Constructive sleeplessness here though in either cases it is insomnia.....sleeping enough is the best....minds psychology sometimes do not abide by the rules of the body...healthy write should be adopted.....sleeplessness is obsession....it counts in heaven not on earth of mortal people
Is this perhaps an autobiographical style poem. It has a nice easy style about it.

meeting inspiration is really something that will make you grab a pen and write...
this sounds very familiar. i often wake up at night just to write down something that keeps me up. +10
