Sleepless Nights Poem by Eila Mahima Jaipaul

Sleepless Nights

Rating: 5.0

the sleepy sun unfolds its purple arms
to beckon the birds to sing its arrival
chattering wildly
they bring on the magenta, yellow, crimsons
and finally the blue of a new day
night creatures hurry from golden rays
knowing that sleep eventually will come
to those who are patient.
