Slower Down Your Pace Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Slower Down Your Pace

Slower down your pace.
Refuse to tolerate a race.
To be chased.
Only to discover,
A wanting wished to win never ends.
When it begins.

What are you chasing,
In your life.
You neither like or find satisfies.
What are you chasing not to evaluate,
The value of it.
Or its lasting taste.

Take a breath.
And make this an advantage.
Why be one panicked if you're not in the act.
Of packing more than you can carry,
On your back.

What is it your chasing.
In your life.
Will it make a difference,
To make things right.
What is it your chasing.
You now don't have.
Will it bring a happiness,
Or leave you sad.

Slower down your pace.
Evaluate decisions you make.
Without haste.
Slower down your pace.
Evaluate decisions you make.
At your advantage.

What are you chasing.
In your life.
Will it satisfy you day and night.
Slower down your pace.
Evaluate decisions you make.
At your advantage.

Slower down your pace.
Evaluate decisions you make.

Slower down your pace.
And evaluate decisions you make.
