So May I Run Poem by Gary James Smith

So May I Run

Rating: 5.0

So May I Walk

May I walk with a surrendered will
To obey Thee O my God
And have my heart settled in
The blessings of Thy Word
To enjoy the benefits of
Your mercy and your grace
In prayer and praise magnifying
You Lord... In first place!

And seeking souls as my mission
It's You I aim to follow
Having a life full of Hope
Not one bit of it hollow
For You Lord are my All in All
You are my Everything
You mend the brokenness of life
And make the heart to sing

And O what blessed joy emits
From heart's that are redeemed
Almost if we never sinned
That's how good it seems
But we the ransomed souls admit
We've not done this alone
But through the precious blood of Christ
Our sins have been atoned

So may I walk.... No! ... May I run!
Unto Thee blessed Lord
Whenthe burdens of the day
Are causing me discord
To be sheltered underneath
Your everlasting arms of love
And be borne by your Spirit
To know Thy Presence God

Youare the voice recognizer
You hear us when we pray
You know your children's wanderings
You know just when we stray
So heavenly Father draw us
To have with You a talk
And stir our heart's again to obedience
So may I walk... So may I walk!
