Why are you ever so calming?
Reminding me of a distant song
From so long ago that I can barely recall
You make shivers race down my spine
As I lay here and unwind
Yet no matter what I do
I can not drown out the sound of you
You sound so soft against my window plane
Making my eyes weep against it so
Whatever did I do to deserve such a soft sound
To grace my ears in such a found way?
You sound like you are trying to adore the Earth
Adore all those who walk upon it
With such a gentle rhythm none can escape
You sing me a lullaby to sleep
Making me feel so at peace
Drifting off is the least I can do
