Love can make you stupid.
Love can make you blind.
When you play in the arms of Cupid,
What pleasures will you find?
For some, they say, it's easy;
What's love but charm and tact?
For some it's light and breezy;
For others, just an act.
Love can drive you crazy.
If you ask me, that's a fact;
The lows and highs of ecstasy,
When every heart is wracked.
A mammoth chewing daisies,
Beneath an icy roof.
A feline eye that gazes,
Wild of claw and tooth.
A picture in pre-history,
An evolution spoof.
The visceral bite of mystery,
Below a carnal truth.
Love can drive you crazy.
As it does all restless youth.
Love can make you lazy,
Unclean, unkempt, uncouth.
Love can drive you crazy.
A self-obsessed, aloof.
Love can leave you hazy,
As a cheap drunk on vermouth.
Love can make you paranoid.
Love can send you nuts.
But love exists when all's destroyed,
And all you've left is guts!
Love can make you stupid.
Love can make you blind.
In love you are barely lucid.
In love you can lose your mind!
