Sonnet-2-The Rain Poem by Loke Kok yee

Sonnet-2-The Rain

Rating: 4.0

The haze finally drifted away
Dispersed by a north easterly wind
Cool clean air now freshens the day
And things back to normal will begin

But dark clouds can be seen coming
In endless waves from the horizon
The sky broke with thunder rolling
Announcing the start of the monsoon

The haze replaced by pouring rain
And a blistering wind loudly moan
Rising water now adds to the pain
While the elements temper is shown

From the choking haze which is by man caused
Now torrential rain from nature runs full course

This is a stunning nature poem Loke. The beginning of the monsoon that will soon cleanse mans pollution is penned so well.

Verily, a warm welcome to the monsoon is well expressed.
