Sonnet 29: For My Sins I Love Thee With A Light Heart Poem by David Wood

Sonnet 29: For My Sins I Love Thee With A Light Heart

Rating: 4.5

For my sins I love thee with a light heart
For I am happy in your company
And my Love’s sweet spirit plays well the part,
The laughs we have had are splendid and many.
It is with you my Love I’m pleased to dote
My heart is in agreement with your dear heart,
I cannot find errors in which to note
You have sung love’s song, in a pleasant part.
For my actions, my love has been blinded
By your beauty in which I find no fault
My love for you has now been grinded
And now fill this my heart a giant vault.
Winning your love has been my greatest gain
Losing your love would be my greatest pain.
