Soul Hunger Poem by Rob Lamberton

Soul Hunger

Rating: 5.0

Blessed are those with hungry souls
Fed by the Friend from Heaven
Whose appetite is fed at night
Still fast asleep at eleven

Who can reach and heart beseech
A starved and lonely human
Blessed be His Name from whence we came
Though from Him we be hidden

Blessed be those with hungry souls
Fed by their Friend from Heaven
Whose mouth of filth would speak a lie
Of sins they know all seven

Who can tell the depth of hell
That they could now be driven
But bless the same for which He came
A hungry soul from Heaven
